Worship Services at First Lutheran Church

Weekend worship services at First Lutheran are based on the upbeat, joyful liturgical music of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) and With One Voice (WOV). Congregational singing is typically accompanied by our grand pipe organ. Musical contributions from our Cathedral Choir, our handbell groups and other musicians also enrich our worship. 

While holding to a similar liturgical flow, our Wednesday evening service during the school year is shorter and more likely to be musically accompanied by guitar and piano. This service is especially geared toward families with children of all ages, though anyone is welcome to attend! 

Holy Communion occurs in nearly all worship services, and First Lutheran Church has a practice of offering the bread and wine to all who are baptized. 

Sunday morning services are broadcast over the radio at KRRZ 1390 AM at 9:30. We also have a live video stream available on this website (at www.firstlutheran.tv) and on our Facebook page. Recordings are then available throughout the week. If you are joining us over broadcast, you can find the bulletin to follow along with the service on our “Church Updates” under the “About Us” tab.

Regular Worship Schedule :
Traditional Sunday Worship – 9:30 am

Wednesday Evening – 5:45 pm (after Labor Day through mid-May)

Thursday afternoon – 2:00 pm
1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month at The View
